At this stage, majority of students are confused as to how to go about choosing the right course,

because there is a number of variety of 5 year integrated law programmes i.e. B.A. LL.B., BBALLB or B.Com.LL.B etc. When the course is selected, then there is confusion amongst the students as how to choose the right Law school? Due to the long list of a large  number Law colleges/law schools and extensive advertisement, they feel  perplexed to make right choice.

In the run up to the admission season, one can come across a new law school advertisement every day. Yet the question arises whether all Law schools are of the same grade or standard? The answer is not in the affirmative. In this regard, you can identify the following parameters in choosing a law school:

    Exposure

In the first place, it is the ‘Exposure’omparted from the Law of school that counts. For the legal aspirants with the compulsory credit course of internship, they also need to take participation in moot courts, mock (youth) parliament, seminars, conferences, workshops, guest lectures, academic visits, court visits, jail visits, parliament visits and vidhan sabha visits etc. In addition to this, they need to undertake the excursion tours in the country and abroad for practical exposure in varied educational, cultural and legal aspects.

    Faculty

The faculty profile decides the learning process and motivation to sustain five long years in case of Law and 3 years in case of Management, Commerce and IT. The good teachers are those who   inspire the students dare to dream and learn to excel. The worthy management blesses the students “Children! Play a lot, jump and study and go ahead in your life.” A faculty line up which is drawn across local, regional and the different cultural backgrounds, with multidisciplinary approach brings in the institute various shades of intellectual scholarship.

    Infrastructure

The infrastructure in terms of learning resources is an important component to have an edge on the information. The best infrastructural facilities facilitates research oriented data collection and collation of the relevant and useful materials. The multimedia libraries prove to be blessings for students participating in various competitions.

Advantage of Law and Legal Studies

Finally, ‘Law’ is considered as an outcome of the interdisciplinary pedagogical approach and varied discourse of scientific methods in management, commerce, humanities, corporate and information technology. Ideally located in a multi-disciplinary institute, with modern infrastructure Law and legal studies have it as an added advantage.

    Internship and Placement

One of the features of a good Law School is the effort the institution makes to help its students and graduates understand their career options and find satisfying internship and placement opportunity. If recruitment has not happened yet, a law aspirant can take into account the possibility of recruitment. For instance, an institute like CPJ School of Law, already has a bunch of recruiters , law firms and companies hiring freshers from the campus, and is likely to have good recruitment for MCIT students and  the Law Students too.

Mainly taking admission  in an Institute of  Law and legal studies needs to be an informed decision. Because the chosen Institute is going to be the ‘home’ away from home during these crucial five years for Law students and 3 years for Management Commerce & IT students. These  years are indeed formative and inspiring  years for students to gain subject knowledge, get trained in skills, nourishment and grooming of personality and professional development.
