    NATIONAL ANNUAL "MOOT COURT COMPETITION"

Moot Court is a programme designed to give School of Law students an experience in advocacy. Mooting is the oral presentation of a legal issue or problem against an opposing counsel and before a judge. It is perhaps the closest experience that a student can have while appearing in the court. In other words, the ‘Moot Court’ reflects a court room scenario in reality. A typical moot problem is concerned solely with a point (or points) of law. Our College has been organizing Moot Court Competitions on regular basis as this motivates the students to participate in such National/International Moot Court Competitions organized by several other Law Colleges/Universities.

    Faculty Development Program

University Grant Commission is always working for Teachers development in all the aspects. Faculty development programs (FDPs) have proven to be successful for improving teaching skills in higher education. India is one among the countries that has the highest number of educational institutions in the world and, consequently, the highest number of teachers and faculty members. The unprecedented growth of institutions in India in the past two decades has led to a shortage of updated and well-trained faculty members and has created a quality challenge for education. In recent years, though ICT educational tools have been understood and adopted by many institutions, the same is not true for educational planning and implementation. There is a need for well-trained faculty members who will help improve programs to produce quality graduates.

Enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the institutions by providing faculty members with ample opportunities to pursue research and also to participate in seminars / conferences / workshops has become vital for developing nations like India. Participation in such programmes would enable faculty members to update their research and pedagogical skills. Higher education institutions are starting to adapt and respond to professionals already in employment, mature learners and the demand from students enrolled for skills for employability programs. With the aim of equipping faculty members with required skills and knowledge, ICT Academy pursues the Faculty Development Program as its primary objective.

    Objective of FDP

    1. To be a role model college in the disciplines of Management, Computer Application, Commerce and Law.

    2. Encourage learning of technological advancements in the relevant fields.

    3. To strive hard to be an epitome of perfection.

    4. To provide practical experience with data analysis models using relevant software such as Python, MS Excel.

    5. Encourage participants to engage in ongoing professional development, produce high-quality research outputs, and support ethical research practices in order to enable them to actively contribute to their academic disciplines.
