CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2027 is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to participating National Law Universities for:
CLAT 2027 is scheduled for Sunday, 6 December 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Eligible PwD candidates will get extended time until 4:40 PM.
The examination will be conducted in offline/pen-and-paper mode.
Online registration opened on 3 August 2026.
The last date for submission of the CLAT 2027 application is 31 October 2026, 11:59 PM.
CLAT 2027 UG FAQs
Candidates who have completed an LL.B. degree or equivalent qualification can apply.
Yes. Students appearing for their qualifying examination in March/April 2027 can apply, but they must provide proof of passing at the time of admission.
No. There is no upper age limit for CLAT UG 2027.
CLAT UG is primarily used for admission to 5-year integrated law programmes, such as BA LL.B., BBA LL.B. and other integrated programmes offered by participating NLUs.

The Consortium states that after submission and payment, certain fields such as programme, category and BPL status cannot be changed.
Yes, but the required reservation documents must be produced as required at admission; otherwise the reservation benefit/admission under that category may not be available.
Yes. Indian nationals and NRIs can appear. However, for NRI/NRI-sponsored seats, candidates should check the individual NLU’s admission rules, as such admissions may need to be handled directly with the concerned NLU.
Foreign nationals are not eligible to appear for CLAT and should check the concerned NLU’s direct admission provisions.
The Consortium currently lists participating National Law Universities for CLAT 2027, including NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur and others.
The exact admit-card release date will be notified on the official CLAT website. Candidates will be able to download it by logging into their account.
