    HOW TO CRACK CUET 2023

    One of the most demanding entrance tests in India is the CUET (Common University Entrance Test), formerly known as the CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test). Prior to attempting CUET, it is crucial to have a complete understanding of the exam requirements, especially the CUET Syllabus. The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the exam in order to grant admission to 86 universities, of which 43 are Central Universities, 13 State Universities, 12 Deemed Universities and 18 Private Universities. As the second-largest exam in terms of registrations for the academic year, there is a significant amount of competitiveness for the exam where students apply for almost each and every Programme like; B.A., B.A.(H), B.Sc, B.Sc.(H),BBA,BBA(CAM),BCA, B.COM (H) Etc.

     

    Aspirants who wish to appear for the CUET 2023 start wondering, “how to prepare for CUET?” In addition to determination and consistency, regularity and efficient time management are also necessary for success in an entrance exam. It is essential to have a thorough understanding of the exam criteria, notably the CUET Syllabus, before taking the exam. A road map must be made before beginning Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) preparation, outlining the subjects to cover when, the number of hours to allot each subject, etc.

     

    Step Wise CUET Preparation:

    Every entrance exam is different in nature and has its own uniqueness.     Understand the CUET Exam:

    It’s imperative to understand all the details (like exam structure & pattern, syllabus, marking scheme, and eligibility) regarding the exam. There will be two shifts for the exam (morning & afternoon).

    The syllabus will consist of the whole NCERT syllabus for class 12. The syllabus 2023 also includes questions from

    • Mathematics
    • Accountancy
    • Business Studies
    • Computer Science
    • Legal Studies, Economics, Political science and History

    Exam pattern & structure: The exam consist of three portions Section I: Languages, Section II: Domain subjects, and Section III: General test . Sections I and II will each have 50 questions, of which candidates must mark 40 Third section will have 75 questions total and the applicant must mark 60 of them. From the list of domain subjects, one may choose a minimum of three and a maximum of six subjects.

    Marking scheme: The candidates will be awarded +5 marks for each correct answer, and -1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. However, there will be no negative marking for the unattempted questions.

    Eligibility: In the official notification for CUET 2023, NTA has mentioned no age limit for the candidates to apply for the test. However, it is mandatory that the students qualify for their 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks.

    Newspaper Reading Is Mandatory:

    - Reading the newspaper will be a useful CUET preparation to perform better on the language portions: your grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension will all get better as a result.

    - You must spend at least 30 minutes reading, evaluating, and reciting newspapers as practice.

    Refer to the Relevant Books:

    Though NCERT Books will provide you with a strong foundation for the preparation for the CUET exam, candidates should also look for standard study material for the exam preparation. Here are the best books for CUET preparation.

    Plan and Execute your Timetable:

    -Starting early can greatly lessen the strain and make it easier to design a study schedule, which will help you balance your CUET preparation with your boards.

    - Make a strategy so that you can dedicate a certain amount of time each day.

    - Create a focused schedule based on the amount of time you have available to avoid losing momentum. Mock Tests and Sample Papers.

    - By completing sample papers and mock exams, you learn more about their unique strengths and shortcomings.

    - Solving practice exams can aid students in improving their preparation for the entrance exam, from developing time management strategies to comprehending the format of the exam.

    Previous Year’s Question Papers:

    - For a better knowledge of the exam format and question types are advised to read through and solve the question papers from the previous year.

    - Candidates can comprehend the subject and units from a subject that are given higher priority by studying the questions from the previous year.

    Remain Inspired and Hopeful:

    - An Entrance exam is a highly essential hurdle that you can't afford to fail, thus you need motivation to get over it.

    - Think positively and recognize how your objectives and future dreams will be shaped by your entry success.

    Focus On the Revision Part:

    - Once you have covered the whole CUET syllabus, it is of utmost importance that you go through it and revise it in a thorough and systematic manner.

    - This will help you in pointing out anything that you might have missed or skipped on your first attempt.

    -Review the subjects that are more challenging for you.
